The Lake Placid Center for the Arts (2114 Saranac Ave., 518/523-2512) presents music, dance, theater, film, and special events throughout the year. The 18-piece Lake Placid Sinfonietta (518/523-2051) performs free concerts in the Mirror Lake bandshell Wednesday evenings, July–August.
Figure-skating, hockey games, and speed-skating events take place in the Olympic Center Ice Arena (2634 Main St., 518/523-1655) throughout the year. The Lake Placid Horse Show and I Love New York Horse Show (518/523-2445) are held in July.
