Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts has a collection of Southern decorative art that dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Collectors and antiques dealers Frank Horton and Theodosia Taliaferro founded the museum in 1965 to promote appreciation and awareness of decorative arts made in the South.
The exhibits range from textiles, paintings, and ceramics to furniture and silver. Knowledgeable docents lead guided tours to explain the importance of the museum exhibits.
