Vancouver International Airport (YVR; www.yvr.ca [1]) is the main gateway to the region for air travelers. Victoria [2] also has an international airport, but it handles mostly domestic flights. Trains and buses also terminate in Vancouver, with regular bus/ferry links transporting visitors directly from the main train station and bus depot to Victoria. If you’re traveling up to Canada from Washington state, you can miss Vancouver altogether by jumping aboard one of many ferries that ply the protected waters of Juan de Fuca Strait and begin your Canadian vacation in Victoria.
