Each of the rooms is decorated in a bright and breezy color scheme, and comes stocked with amenities such as a hair dryer and coffeemaker. On the premises are an indoor pool and a fitness center.
A few blocks farther south, with a C-train station on its back doorstep, stands Holiday Inn Macleod Trail (4206 Macleod Trail SW, 403/287-2700 or 800/661-1889, www.holidayinn.com [3], $149 s or d), where the 150 rooms were last renovated in 2009. Facilities here include a large indoor pool, a restaurant, and a lounge.
