More than 100 (!) Homer [1] bed-and-breakfasts await your visit. A pair of bed-and-breakfast organizations provide one-stop shopping: Homer’s Finest B&B Network (907/235-4983 or 800/764-3211, www.homeraccommodations.com [2]) and Homer B&B Association (907/226-1114 or 877/296-1114, www.homerbedbreakfast.com [3]).
Old Town B&B (106 W. Bunnell St., 907/235-7558, www.oldtownbedandbreakfast.com [4]) is owned by artist Asia Freeman, who also manages Bunnell Street Arts Center downstairs. The three immaculate rooms have period pieces in this renovated 1936 building with a false-front exterior, and they are priced at a remarkable $95 d with a shared bath or $115 with a private bath. A full breakfast is served in the parlor.
A block up the hill is Mermaid B&B (3487 Main St., 907/235-7984, www.mermaidcafe.net [5], $185 d), a gorgeous little apartment over Old Inlet Bookshop. It has a hot tub on the deck along with a full kitchen and private bath, and includes $10 off breakfast at the cozy downstairs café. The craftsmanship of builder and bookstore-owner Andy Wills shows in all the little details.
One of Homer [1]’s oldest—and finest—B&Bs,
Halcyon Heights B&B (100 Mission Rd., 907/235-2148, www.homerbb.com [6]) has a beautiful East Hill location with panoramic views of Kachemak Bay [7] from the deck. Amenities include an outdoor hot tub, private entrances and baths, full breakfasts, and Wi-Fi. Three upstairs rooms ($155–195 d) open onto the deck, and families appreciate the garden-level suites ($195–295). Halcyon has a two-night minimum stay.

Whalesong B&B (4002 Kachemak Way, 907/235-7628, www.thewhalesong.com [9], $125 d) is a reasonably priced option just a block from downtown galleries and restaurants. Two rooms have private entrances and guests are served a continental breakfast.
A fine option is Bay Avenue B&B (907/235-3757 or 800/371-2095, www.bayavebb.com [10]), with seven rooms ($145 d) in the main house and two apartment-style units ($150 d) that are a deal for anglers and families. The big breakfast features local items, and guests love the hot tub, where you can watch the sunset over Kachemak Bay [7]. The marsh below is a good place to spot shorebirds and bald eagles; there is also free Wi-Fi.
A Room with a View (840 Rosebud Court, 907/235-3706, www.aroomwithaviewhomer.com [11], $125 d) is a large hillside home off West Hill Road with two guest rooms, private baths, and filling breakfasts. Families are welcome—all rooms contain queen and twin beds—and kids like the downstairs rec room, while adults appreciate the big deck with unobstructed bay vistas, an outdoor hot tub, and Wi-Fi. The deluxe room has a whirlpool tub, a private balcony, and tall windows. A homemade breakfast is served family style.
Aloha B&B (62209 Glacier View Court, 907/235-0607 or 877/355-0607, www.alohabb.com [14], May–Oct., $114–129 d) has one of Homer [1]’s famous “million-dollar” views—a 180-degree panorama of bay, mountains, and glacier. The owners are natives of Hawaii, and a Hawaiian theme carries through all four guest rooms (two of which share a bath). A continental breakfast and Wi-Fi are included.
Seven miles out on East End Road, A B&B on the Green (907/235-0606 or 800/295-5969, www.lynxgolfbnb.com [15], May–Sept.) sits alongside a par-3 golf course. Kindly owner Michael LeMay will fill you in on local attractions, and he stocks the kitchen with breakfast ingredients.
