If you can’t find a good meal in Anchorage [1], you aren’t trying. The city’s size and diverse population are mirrored in a wide range of eating places, from grab-a-bite fast-food joints to high-class (and high-priced) gourmet restaurants. To reach many of the best places, you’ll need a vehicle or knowledge of bus schedules, but there are several fine restaurants right downtown.
