Since its founding in 2004, Kansas City [2]’s Riverfest (July 3–4) is becoming one of downtown’s biggest festivals complete with entertainment, food, and fireworks.
Vendors and entertainers gather in downtown’s Berkley Park along the banks of the Missouri River for two days of fun in the sun that culminates on the Fourth of July with an explosive fireworks show over the water.
Come hungry for festival staples like curly fries, funnel cakes, gyros, and corn dogs. Or tempt a more adventurous palate with falafel or alligator on a stick.
The kids will be occupied for hours in a fully equipped children’s area complete with games and inflatable bounce houses, and the shops of the Riverfest Marketplace offer one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
Parking is available throughout the River Market neighborhood, and several free shuttles regularly cruise Grand Boulevard.
