The annual Sisters Rodeo (800/827-7522) happens the second weekend of June. In addition to the normal assortment of calf-roping and bucking broncos, country dances, a buckaroo breakfast, and a 10K Stampede Run round out the fun.
A quilters’ festival takes place during the second week of July; the outdoor quilt show blankets the town with color.
Also noteworthy is the annual Sisters Folk Festival, held in early September. This even attracts some of the biggest names in blues and folk. Contact the Sisters Chamber of Commerce (291 E. Main St., 541/549-0251, www.sisterschamber.com [1]) for the schedule of events.
