Forget fine dining in Waldport [1]—this is an eat-and-run town. But that doesn’t mean the food is lousy—check out the Sea Dog Bakery (120 SW U.S. 101, 541/563-3621, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. daily, $4–8) for homemade granola, scones, and good sandwiches.

Another unpretentious but good spot is the Waldport Seafood Company (310 SW U.S. 101, 541/563-4413, 11:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. daily, $7–25), where grilled fish sandwiches, fish tacos, and fish-and-chips are good bets. Splurge for a whole cooked Dungeness crab. Or, if you’re staying in a place with a kitchen, shop the fish counter.
