While certainly not substantial enough to build a trip around, the Museum of Arts & Sciences (352 S. Nova Rd., 386/255-0285, www.moas.org [1], 9 a.m.β5 p.m. Mon.βSat., 11 a.m.β5 p.m. Sun., $12.95 adults, $10.95 seniors and students, $6.95 children, children 5 and under free) is a cute populist institution. Permanent exhibits built around Cuban art and Florida [2] history are augmented by visiting exhibits that range from Egyptian mummies to Barbie dolls.
The oddly immersive and deeply nostalgic Root Family Museum exhibit features a hodgepodge of toys, race cars, Coca-Cola memorabilia, and even a full-size 1940s-era railroad car.
