DisneyQuest (1:30 a.m.–midnight daily, $43 adults, $36 children, 25 percent discount for tickets purchased online in advance) is basically a video arcade, but in the hands of Disney designers the concept of an arcade is expanded into that of a “virtual theme park.”
Visitors can take part in “rides” like the Virtual Jungle Cruise and the dizzying Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride; a clutch of interactive attractions like the excellent Pirates of the Caribbean—which puts you on a boat in the middle of 3-D pirate battles—are truly remarkable.
In the Create Zone, budding Imagineers can create toys, learn about animation, and even design—and virtually ride—their own roller coasters. There’s also a room filled with classic arcade games for those who remember when playing video games required a thick roll of quarters.
