Nightlife

Las Galeras [1] is not known for its nightlife. If you’re looking for wild nights of spirited dancing and mingling, head to Las Terrenas [2]. There is, however, a place to get in a little bachata or merengue dancing in Las Galeras. V.I.P. (Calle Principal, 9 p.m.–late, free) is a popular club that draws locals from all over the surrounding area to dance on the weekends, and dancing is one of the best and most authentic ways to explore the Dominican culture.
