Reportedly, many of Tombstone [1]’s gunfighters, along with their victims, lay alongside prostitutes, settlers, and obscure passers-through in the Boothill Graveyard (daily 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m., donations welcome).
You can walk among the more than 300 uniformly bland and refurbished graves, and read short messages on some of them that illuminate what death was like on the frontier.
It doesn’t feel authentic in the least, despite claims to the contrary, but it is free. Boothill is just off Highway 80 at the north of end of town.
