Kennedy Park, Tucson

That fateful day when Mexican soldiers routed an army of adventuring, occupying French at the battle of Puebla (May 5, 1862) is celebrated in the Old Pueblo in various ways.
For most of us, the many supermarket markdowns on Mexican beer, corn chips, and salsa are enough to get us in the mood; others head over to South Tucson [1]’s Kennedy Park for a colorful fiesta featuring mariachi, traditional dances, folk arts, concerts, and, of course, heaps of Mexican cuisine.
