Located downtown on the bottom level of the historic Oddfellows Hall building, Barrio offers a true dining experience in an elegant space. With fresh fish and beef specials and unique desserts, as well as a full bar and private, romantic booths, Barrio is the ideal place for a special couple’s night out. Barrio also offers a well-stocked wine list and specialty drinks.
This place is perfect for dinner before or after the theater or opera (both venues are located nearby), or a long, luxurious lunch. They offer both appetizers and entrées, the former being about half the price of the latter.
One of the better little plates is the Barrio Tostada, with grilled chicken, tomato concasse, and white cheddar on a whole-wheat tortilla—a departure indeed from the usual Sonoran-style fare at other more pedestrian places. Reservations are recommended.
