Museo del Indio (119 San José, Old San Juan, 787/721-2864, Tues.–Sat. 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., free) is San Juan [1]’s newest museum. Devoted to the history of the island’s Taíno Indian population, it contains many artifacts unearthed in excavations around the island including pottery, stone tools, and cemies, small carved stone talismans representative of various gods.
