La Selva Surf Shop (250 Fernandez Garcia, one block south of the plaza, 787/889-6205, daily 9 a.m.–5 p.m.) is a great source for tips on surfing in the area. In addition to selling a variety of beach and surfing accessories, it rents surfboards ($30 per day) and boogie boards ($10 per day).
Hacienda Carabalí (Carr. 992, km 3, 787/889-5820 or 787/889-4954, www.haciendacarabalipuertorico.com [1]) is a 600-acre ranch offering guided horseback-riding tours on Paso Finos along mountainside and beachfront trails, along with ATV tours, mountain biking, and go-karts.
