There are few restaurants in Ocean Park, but the ones that are there are top-notch. Despite its name,
Kasalta Bakery (1966 Ave. McLeary, 787/727-7340 or 787/727-6593, fax 787/268-0864, www.kasalta.com , daily 6 a.m.–10 p.m.) is much more than a bakery. There are also hot daily specials, including paella, seafood salads, and case after case of freshly made baked goods ($1.50) such as cheesecakes, jelly rolls, Danish, cookies, and more. It also sells whole cakes and has an excellent wine and liquor selection. Order at the counter and grab a seat on a short bar stool at shared tables to feast.
