No vaccines are required to enter Honduras [1], but travelers should be up to date on their rabies, typhoid, measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), tetanus, and yellow-fever shots. A hepatitis vaccine is now on the market, taking the place of the questionable gamma globulin shot. For hepatitis A, getting two shots of Havrix six months apart is now recommended. For hepatitis B, the recommendation is three shots of Engerix over the course of six months. Each course of Engerix shots is good for three years.
