Be prepared for simple and inexpensive Honduran comedor fare anywhere you go in Yuscarán [1]. The only exception is Restaurante Kim Fu, next to Hotel Carol, with Chinese food for US$3–5 a plate.

Comedor Lita, facing the Casa Fortín, is popular with locals and offers typical Honduran plates for US$2–3. On the outskirts of town on the road to Oropolí is another good choice, Típicos Monserrat, which also offers breakfast, and sopa de res in addition to the standard meat and chicken, each US$2.50.
