PiQ’ Art Gallery (Av. República, between 12 and 13 Calle) has a great selection of higher-end crafts such as jewelry, cards, soaps, and wood carvings, several of them made by local cooperatives, as well as paintings. Most, but not all, items are locally made, but all are handmade.

Out near the highway is La Ceiba [1]’s newest shopping mecca, the huge Mega Plaza Mall, with dozens of fancy stores, several Internet cafés, and a movie theater with two screens.
