Facing the parque central behind San Cristóbal’s cathedral [1], the 17th-century Templo de San Nicolás (Real de Guadalupe at Av. General Utrilla) was originally built for the exclusive use of the indigenous population. As such it is simple in style, with only two round towers providing decorative elements to its exterior. Interestingly, San Nicolás is the only church in San Cristóbal to retain its original form.
