Believe it or not, Jericoacoara [1] does have a nightlife, especially during the summer. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays everybody heads to the dimly lit Mamá África (Rua das Dunas) for mellow reggae and MPB. Wednesdays and Saturdays are dedicated to forró at the tradicionalíssimo Casa do Forró (Rua do Forró), where locals are as plentiful as tourists. Tunes of all sorts can be heard at Planeta Jeri (Rua Principal), which is where most revelers begin and often end the night.
