The University of the Virgin Islands (www.uvi.edu [1]) is a four-year, accredited university with campuses on St. Thomas [2] and St. Croix. Founded in 1963 as the College of the Virgin Islands [3], UVI offers both bachelor’s and master’s degree opportunities.
H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (www.hlscc.edu.vg [4]) is a two-year college founded in 1990. In addition to earning associate’s degrees, HLSCC students can earn bachelor’s degrees in certain fields through partnerships between HLSCC and other four-year institutions, including UVI. The New England Culinary Institute (www.necibvi.com [5]) has a satellite school attached to HLSCC, and students enroll in a two-year course leading to an associate’s degree in the culinary arts.
The University of the West Indies also has a satellite school on Tortola [6].
