Another good option for moderate budgets is
Fischer’s Cove Hotel (The Valley, 284/495-5252, fax 284/495-5820, www.fischerscove.com [1], $160–200), where you can choose between a private studio cottage or a more traditional hotel room. Cottages come with kitchenettes, ceiling fans, and a comfortable sitting room, but most importantly they line the hotel’s own white-sand beach. Hotel rooms, housed in a colorful apartment-style concrete unit, have balconies that face either the garden or the ocean. Some rooms are air-conditioned. If having the most up-to-date furnishings and gadgets is important to you then go elsewhere, but if you’re keen on an un-fussy and friendly place to lay your head, that’s close to Virgin Gorda [2]’s beaches, then this is one of the best choices on the island. Owned and operated by the Flax family, Fischer’s Cove also has an on-site restaurant that serves three meals daily.
