When the gardens are sleeping for the winter and most of the color is evergreen shrubs, brown dirt, or brilliant white fresh snowfall, the annual holiday Blossoms of Light is a welcome burst of color.
For about six weeks through December and part of January, the Denver Botanic Gardens [2] puts up over one million lights (with energy-efficient bulbs), draped across evergreen trees or shaped into luminescent flowers. On select nights there are carolers or other special events.
The exact dates, times, and costs vary each year.
