The Ellie Caulkins Opera House opened in 2005 and is the jewel in the crown of the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The 1908 grand theater, formerly called the Auditorium Theatre, was completely renovated and can seat 2,268 for opera or other musical performances.

Both the Opera Colorado and the Colorado Ballet perform at the “Ellie,” as it is called locally. The theater is included on tours of the DPAC, when performance schedules allow.
