Founded by one of frontiersman Buffalo Bill Cody’s scouts, The Buckhorn Exchange has been open for business since 1893, serving all variety of beef and game meats.
Over time, the walls of the Buckhorn were filled with a menagerie of hundreds of animals to reflect some of the menu selections, such as bison and elk. The kitschy decor of taxidermy trophies is done with a sense of humor—such as the “herd” of antelope heads near the front door.
To round out the Old West feel, there is cowboy music in the upstairs lounge on weekends.
