There are many campgrounds along the Lake Superior shoreline, including the Mouth of the Two Hearted River Campground (906/293-3293, $15), where you’ll find rustic sites in the state forest.
You can also pitch your tent at the High Bridge State Forest Campground (906/293-3293, $15), only 10 miles from Pine Stump and 24 miles from Newberry.
