Believe it or not, forlorn, wintry Wisconsin has one of the nation’s highest concentrations of golf courses per capita. Go figure. Nearly 430 courses are listed in the state’s Wisconsin Golf Guide. Among the courses most often pursued are Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Lawsonia in Green Lake, Sentryworld in Stevens Point, University Ridge in Madison [1], and Brown Deer Golf Course near Milwaukee [2].
