The Ocean Shores Environmental Interpretative Center (five miles south of town center at the marina, 360/289-4617, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Thurs.–Mon. Memorial Day–Labor Day only) features saltwater and freshwater aquariums and displays on the history of the area, how the peninsula was formed, and how it continues to grow as sand is added each year.
Other exhibits detail the animals of the area, and you can watch natural history slide shows.
