These two very different but complementary galleries share an expansive 6,000-square-foot space in Old City. The Snyderman Gallery focuses primarily on the continually evolving areas of studio furniture and sculptural glass. A must-see on the national art circuit, it hosted one of the first exhibits of Dale Chihuly’s renowned botanical glass work and architect Robert Venturi’s furniture designs for Knoll.
The Works Gallery is dedicated to ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and fiber. Since 1965, its owners have organized landmark exhibits of artists from around the world, showcasing work that spans from figurative to functional. Stark white walls, two-story rooms, and delicate work atop a series of pillars offer a lovely setting for the display of intricate handiwork in a variety of materials.
