Over 40 feet long and smiling with hundreds of razor-sharp teeth, a replica of an extinct giganotosaurus greets guests as they enter the Academy of Natural Sciences, where exhibits follow evolutionary history from the Mesozoic era to present-day animal habitats.
From the Tyrannosaurus to tigers, the Academy captures animal life across the planet and through time in glass-enclosed realistic-looking displays.
While the place is undeniably interesting, some animal lovers may find the still-lifes a little bit creepy. Children love to take part in real archaeological digs and the live animal exhibit.
