The Salish Lodge Restaurant (6501 Railroad Ave., 425/888-2556) atop Snoqualmie Falls [1] has run continuously since 1916. The dinner menu features seafood and game entrées at around the price-point you’d expect for such lavish digs. The farm-style four-course Sunday brunch remains a regional favorite. The homey lodge atmosphere complete with overstuffed chairs surrounding a warm fire in the lounge is worth the price of admission. Reservations are required, especially if you want a window seat.

Opened in 1997 by a group of local beer connoisseurs, the Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company (8032 Falls Ave., 425/831-2337, www.fallsbrew.com [2], Mon.–Thurs. 11 a.m.–10 p.m., Fri.–Sat. 11 a.m.–11 p.m., Sun. 11 a.m.–9 p.m.) has fast been racking up awards and loyal fans with its excellent Wildcat IPA, Copperhead Pale Ale, Snoqualmie ESB, Steam Train Porter, and several seasonal beers. Pick any and pair it with a bit of satisfying pub grub served up in the brewery’s taproom.
