Lake Chelan [1] is a very popular fishing spot, with kokanee salmon, chinook salmon, lake trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, smallmouth bass, and burbot. Fish get big in these waters, with lake trout and chinook salmon averaging 6–10 pounds; a 24-pound lake trout was caught in the lake.
Nearby, on the Columbia River and in mountain lakes, you will find smallmouth bass and rainbow, cutthroat, brown, and eastern brook trout, as well as other game fish.
