Two Seaview restaurants vie for the breakfast crowds. Laurie’s Homestead Breakfast House (4214 Pacific Hwy., 360/642-7171, 6:30 a.m.–1 p.m. daily) has a seven-page breakfast menu and very good food.
Across the street is Cheri Walker’s 42nd St. Café (360/642-2323, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Thurs.–Mon., 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Tues. and 4:30–8:30 p.m. Sun.–Thurs., 4:30–9 p.m. Fri.–Sat.) with traditional American breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. The restaurant features iron-skillet fried chicken, pot roast, steaks, and seafood, with homemade bread and jam, all served in heaping helpings.
Chico’s Pizza (Hwy. 103, right near Sid’s Market, Seaview, 360/642-3207) makes tasty pizzas and pastas.
Seaview is also home to one of the peninsula’s finest dining options,
The Depot (38th & L, Seaview, 360/642-7880). Cozied up inside of a restored train station, this creative café plates inventive dishes like grilled wild boar on mashed fava beans and house-made cannelloni stuffed with fresh crab and saffron béchamel sauce.
