Makah Days is the Makah’s big annual festival, celebrating the day the reservation first raised the American flag in 1913. Held on the weekend closest to August 26, the three-day festival is highlighted by dances, a parade, fireworks show, salmon bake, canoe races, and bone games (Native American gambling). Also popular is the Chito Beach Bluegrass Jamboree in mid-June.
