Two local wineries produce wines from eastern Washington grapes. Olympic Cellars (255410 Hwy. 101, 360/452-0160, www.olympiccellars.com [1], 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. daily) is housed in a century-old cedar barn along Highway 101 just west of Sequim [2]. The three women who run the place, known collectively as “The Olympic Women in Wine,” produce wines under their Working Girl, La Dolce Vida, and Dungeness labels.
Lost Mountain Winery (3174 Lost Mountain Rd., 360/683-5229, www.lostmountain.com [3], 11 a.m.–5 p.m. daily in summer, Sat.–Sun. only the rest of the year) makes robust, Italian-style red wines with no added sulfites.
