For groceries, film, and other essentials, stop by the Island Market (360/376-6000) in downtown Eastsound. This is the largest grocery store in the islands, with an in-store bakery and deli.
The Orcas Island Farmers Market (Eastsound’s Village Square, www.orcasislandfarmersmarket.org [1], 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Sat. Apr.–Oct.) sells local produce, flowers, crafts, and clothing. More fresh organic produce is available on Wednesday near the ferry landing in Orcas Village.
Homegrown Market (Eastsound, 360/376-2009) has natural foods and a deli with daily specials and salads, plus fresh crab and salmon in season. The same folks also run the small Orcas Market (360/376-8860) at the ferry dock.
