Scenic Beach State Park has forested campsites (360/830-5079 or 888/226-7688, www.parks.wa.gov [1], $17 tent, no RV hookups, $7 extra reservation fee), salmon fishing, oyster gathering in season, and Olympic Mountain views on Hood Canal [2].
The 88-acre park is particularly pleasant when the spring rhododendrons are in bloom. The park is open for day use year-round, but the campground is only open from late April to late September.
