Cute is the operative term at Port Orchard’s [1] many antique, craft, and gift shops, which generally cater to an audience that appreciates lots of lace, schlock, and sickly sweet smells.

Try the Victorian Rose Tea Room (1130 Bethel Ave., 360/876-5695, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Sat.–Sun.) to see for yourself. It’s a favorite of the doll-and-teddy-bear crowd.

Fans of kitchy old stuff should swing by the largest antique emporium in town, the Olde Central Antique Mall (801 Bay St., 360/895-1902, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun.).
