Tiny Langley [1] is home to numerous art galleries. The two best, Museo Piccolo Gallery (215 1st St., 360/221-7737, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. daily) and Karlson/Gray (302 1st St., 360/221-2978, www.karlsongraygallery.com [2], 10 a.m.–5 p.m. daily) have unusual and highly creative works.
Also of note is Lowry-James Fine Antiques (101 Anthes, 360/221-0477, www.lowryjames.com [3], 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Wed.–Mon., closed Tues.) with a fine collection of natural history engravings and lithographs. Langley’s galleries open for evening Art Walks on the first Saturday of each month.
Moonraker Books (209 1st St., 360/221-6962, 10:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun.) carries a fine selection of regional titles.
North Star Trading Co. (101 1st St., 360/221-1202 or 800/446-9276, www.sheepskingoods.com [4], 10:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. daily in summer, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Thurs.–Mon., closed Tues.–Wed. in winter) produces ultra-soft sheepskin slippers and hats.
