Bar none, Seattle’s [1] most unusual bakery is in Fremont, where you’ll find X-rated cakes, pastries, and other goodies rising from the oven at The Erotic Bakery (2323 N. 45th St., 206/545-6969, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Mon.–Sat.). This is a favorite among not-so-PC co-workers, maids of honor, and anyone else looking to shock and titillate their friends.

For more traditionally shaped goodies, The Urban Bakery (7850 E. Greenlake Dr. N, 206/524-7951, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Sun.) is a great spot for fresh-from-the-oven baked treats, including scrumptious chocolate cakes, cheesecakes, and pies. The espresso bar is a favorite stopping place for the Green Lake [2] post-jogging crowd.
