Marco’s Supperclub (2510 1st Ave., 206/441-7801, www.marcossupperclub.com [1], 5–10 p.m. Mon.–Sat., $18) is a bright and arty Belltown [2] place with a menu that bumps from grilled salmon to Jamaican jerk chicken to fried sage-leaf appetizers (far better than it sounds). The food is always creative, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Dahlia Lounge (2001 4th Ave., 206/682-4142, www.tomdouglas.com [3], 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri. and 5–10 p.m. Mon.–Thurs., 5–11 p.m. Fri.–Sat., 5–p p.m. Sun. $28) is a trendy eatery with widely varied and spicy fare created by famed chef/owner Tom Douglas. It’s a wonderful place for a memorable meal.

The food is beautifully presented and the atmosphere is raucous at Belltown’s Flying Fish (2234 1st Ave., 206/728-8595, www.flyingfishrestaurant.com [4], 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. and 5–11 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 5–11 p.m. Sat.–Sun., $28). Take a seat in the bar to survey the crowd below.

Located atop the Space Needle [5], SkyCity Restaurant (206/443-2111, www.spaceneedle.com [6], 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. and 5–8:45 p.m. Mon.–Thurs., 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. and 5–9:45 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m.–2:45 p.m. and 5–9:45 p.m. Sat., 10 a.m.–2:45 p.m. and 5–8:45 p.m. Sun., $45) is a top-of-the-world dining experience at 500 feet, very popular with tourists, visiting relatives, and teens on prom night. The food is mediocre and expensive, but the view is unsurpassed, as the revolving restaurant completes a 360-degree turn by the time your dessert arrives.
