Located around 30 minutes by taxi from Iquitos [1]’s downtown, this amazing nine-hole course (tel. 065/965-943-267, www.amazongolfcourse.com [2], 6 a.m.–6 p.m. daily) is probably the only golf course in the Peruvian Amazon.
Started in 2004 by a group of expats, it offers almost 10 hectares of flat green where you can play 18 holes for US$25. There is a clubhouse, and a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, and tennis court are in the works.
