Hospitals, medical centers, and doctors offices are located throughout the state. Walk-in medical centers may be found in the yellow pages and are the best bet for minor needs while you’re on vacation. In an emergency, proceed to the closest hospital or call 911.
The single most important thing you can have if you get sick while traveling is health insurance. Before you leave, check with your insurance provider about in-network doctors and medical facilities in the area where you’ll be traveling.
Always travel with your prescription drugs in their original container and with a copy of the prescription issued by your doctor. If you can, get refills before you leave.
