Established in 1935, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (865/291-3310, www.knoxvillesymphony.com [1]) is one of the oldest orchestras in the southeast. The KSO, a professional orchestra since 1973, performs its season from September to May in Knoxville [2] venues including the Civil Auditorium, the Tennessee Theatre [3], and the Bijou [3]. Special guest conductors and soloists are frequent additions, and seasonal shows include the annual holiday concert.
