Bar-hopping is best enjoyed downtown, where there is the greatest concentration of nightclubs, restaurants, and bars. Even on weeknights, the District, which lies along lower Broadway and its side streets, is crowded with people dressed in designer cowboy boots and fringed shirts. This is the official entertainment district of Nashville [1], and it is well-patrolled by police and cruisers alike.
Outside of the District, there are several other enclaves of nightlife that cater more to residents than visitors.
Nashville [1] won’t issue a liquor license unless the establishment also serves food, so all of the bars listed below double as restaurants.
