Art Museum of the University of Memphis

The Art Museum of the University of Memphis (3750 Norriswood Ave., 901/678-2224, www.amum.org [1], free) houses excellent but small exhibits of ancient Egyptian and African art and artifacts, and a noteworthy print gallery. There are frequent special exhibitions. The museum is closed during University holidays.
