The Livingston Roundup Rodeo is on the Fourth of July weekend. It kicks off with a parade and segues into a lively Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo (406/222-7277). An arts festival takes over Depot Square [1] during this weekend.
The Yellowstone Boat Float (406/224-4414), a three-day mid-July event, runs 110 miles from Livingston [2] to Columbus, following the route of Captain Clark and his party on their return from the Pacific. The float is open to all, any sort of boat is permitted, and like the river, it’s “wet, wild, and dam free.”
During the first week of August, Livingston hosts the Park County Fair.
